This Spring I got a call from a mother looking for a wedding photographer for her daughter’s wedding. A few weeks later I met up with mom & daughter and thankfully they chose me for the job. We had planned to meet up prior to the wedding for bridal portraits however alterations took longer than expected on the wedding dress so bridals never happened unfortunately but thankfully we got enough photos from their wedding day to more than make up for that! On their wedding day, I was to meet the women at the lovely 4-D Guest Ranch to take detail shots & photos of the girls getting ready however Mom called me that morning to let me know it was POURING down rain out there and that it was such a mess so there was no reason for me to drive to the ranch because the girls couldn’t go outside in their dresses anyway so then we went to Plan B. My second shooter, Jana, and I met the girls directly at the church in Gonzales and began our work there instead after driving through rain pretty much the entire time (note the raindrops on the bride’s red pumps in the 2nd pic!). Thankfully, God decided to smile down on us and by the time the ceremony & family pictures were finished inside the chapel, the skies began to clear up and when we arrived at the 4-D Ranch the skies were basically clear and we were blessed with a lovely afternoon & evening for the reception! The theme of the day was “Bling” so there was SO much lovely eye candy everywhere you looked…….literally. I had never seen such attention to detail put into the decor of a reception before. There were lovely real flowers, shiny rhinestones, lovely smelling candles and beautiful decorations all around the room and it was truly breathtaking!! Thank you, Justin, Nina & Darlene for allowing me to be a small part of your amazing wedding day…….I hope you enjoy your sneak peeks.
