A few weeks ago my friend Amy contacted me and asked me if I’d be interested in photographing an event with her. Her good friend, Robin Brown, was going to be hosting her first ever fashion show for her clothing line Magnolia Pearl in Fredericksburg, TX and she needed some people to come & cover the event since it was being photographed for Where Women Create magazine. I’d known about Magnolia Pearl and have been a big fan for years so it took me a whole nano second to say YES, of course!! I’d never shot a fashion show before but for them I was more than willing to learn some new things and step outside of my “zone” a bit for this amazing experience. The event was held in Carol Hicks Bolton’s new store in Fredericksburg, Laboratoire de Design which was the perfect backdrop & venue to host the event and showcase Robin’s designs. The fashion show primarily featured Robin’s one-of-a-kind designs & clothing which was all just over the moon amazing & dreamy and I enjoyed being a small part of it all and meeting so many kind amazing people. Here is a small taste of the sights of the day, the rest will be featured in a spread in the Nov/Dec/Jan issue of Where Women Create.
The last shot is a Magnolia Pearl dress that Carol let me borrow & wear for the day. I just adored it and talk about COMFY! It was tough to take it off at the end of the day & give it back.
