Love. Pure adoration and love. That’s pretty much all I can say about this couple and these images. I have to admit that my eyes teared up a time or two just feeling & sensing the love between them and it was pretty amazing. Thank you Brian & Heather for allowing me the privilidge of shooting for your first maternity session. I simply can’t wait to meet Baby Mason!

An Evening in the Bluebonnets

I adore my friend Holly. We just clicked…..immediately, but then again she clicks with everyone, she’s just one of those people. She’s the kind of girl who everyone loves and I’m grateful she came into my life via Tracy and then it all just snowballed from there. I shot her maternity session and then her newborn session and recently she asked if I’d take pics of their new family of 3 in the bluebonnets. Well of course! We were supposed to meet on a friday evening but on wednesday it was such a lovely day and I was out shooting other sessions anyway so I asked if they might be able to meet me a couple of days early and thankfully they could because we simply couldn’t have asked for a more lovely evening. They brought along a good friend of theirs and he brought his sweet baby, Chloe, so I took some shots of them too. Talk about adorable! Thank you Guys for such a fun evening, I hope you had as much as I did.

I know I talk occasionally about my church family at Crosspoint Fellowship and how they great they are and I promise I wouldn’t do that unless I really meant it. We have such a nice diversity of membership there of retirees, military families, young families, students, you name it and the Johnsons are one of those invaluable families to Crosspoint Fellowship. Kasey heads up the Clubhouse which is the birth-kinder aged kids and Johnny helps out with the older kids in the Warehouse. I get to watch their sweet little girl each sunday in the nursery and I just adore her too. A friend of the Johnson’s bought them a photo session with me as thanks for watching their dog and after many months of trying, we were finally able to meet up a few weeks ago on what was shaping up to be a lovely spring day but instead we arrived to New Braunfels to find a chilly breeze. They were troopers as we hiked around the park for a while snapping some shots and thankfully my new studio came in VERY handy on a chilly day such as this. We drove the short mile there and took a few more shots of Maddie in a much warmer environment for her 1st birthday portraits. Thank you Johnson Family, I had such a fun afternoon with you guys!

Loved this one, though it would be fun to look back on the photo years from now to see the height difference at 1 yr. old.

Still waiting on the Bluebonnets to begin blooming but will hopefully begin seeing the little beauties within a week or two. It’s been such a pleasure watching this little one grow up along with her 2 big sisters. Noelle just turned 1 on monday so she & mommy met me at the studio for a few quick photos to document the momentous day so here are a few sneak peeks for them……..

Mama Holly has been waiting patiently so I wanted to post a few sneak peeks of her precious long-awaited bundle of joy, you might remember her maternity session. I went to their beautiful home for some photos of Baby Ethan at 11 days old because his great-grandfather who is 90 years young was visiting from New York and they were both as charming as can be! Little guy didn’t want to sleep but that’s ok, we made the best of it since he was very relaxed & patient with us as we changed his outfits & moved him around. What a little trooper! Congrats Holly & Brad, your little man is simply precious…..

As Melanie stated in the movie Gone with the Wind, “The best days are ones when babies are born” and isn’t that the truth! I just got the blessed news that a friend & client just delivered her first baby, a baby boy named Ethan and I couldn’t be happier for them!! You might remember her here. Congrats Brad & Holly, I’m SO thrilled for you & can’t wait to meet your long-awaited bundle of joy. I also had the pleasure of shooting a newborn session for another client, Paula, back in December. I went to their house in Boerne and even though the little guy was just a couple of weeks old he didn’t want to miss out on the party and didn’t sleep a wink for us despite all of our best efforts! Congrats to you too, George & Paula!

I am hoping to get some good work done on my senior site the next month or so while business is a bit slower and also hope to develop new portrait & print packages as well so keep checking back!

Sneak Peek, the Simmons family! {San Antonio family photographer}

Happy 1st day of December!! I don’t know about where you live but here in South Texas it definitely feels like it’s winter time now when just last week we were blessed with warm nice temps and my boys were outside playing in their shorts & t-shirts! Mother Nature sure likes to keep us on our toes here, that’s for sure. I have outdoor sessions planned this week but we shall see if the weather decides to cooperate with us or not? I sincerely hope it does because I’d love to get pics taken of everyone who wants them in time for the holidays and heaven knows we had NO idea the weather would turn like this so quickly but you know what they say about living in Texas, if you don’t like the weather just wait 5 minutes and it’ll change so I’m keeping my fingers crossed! Thankfully when I met with the Simmons family we were blessed with a truly gorgeous November morning and we spent it walking around Landa Park with their little ones. They were a referral from my dear friend Shawna (http://styleberryhome.com/) so thanks Girlie!

I always let the little ones play a bit before we jump in taking pics, things just seems to work better that way!

Sneak Peek ~ Baby Lily {Schertz newborn photographer}

I’m lovin’ all of these maternity & newborn sessions I’ve been doing lately, allows me to get my baby fix when I need one! Baby Lily and her family were a referral from Tracy and I SO enjoyed our afternoon together in their beautiful home capturing some moments in time for them of their first born and thankfully Grandma, Grandpa & Uncle were in town as well. We began in Lily’s nursery that was SO flippin’ cute. Mama certainly has a knack for finding things, re-doing them and pulling it all together to create one gorgeous very-Anthropologie nursery and Grandma’s quilting & floral mural on the wall pulled it all together so well. When I walked into her room I knew this is where we would take her pics!

I fell in love with the green chair and kept wondering how I could sneak it out of Lily’s nursery without them noticing! haha

I found the little knitted cocoon & cap on Etsy and they just happened to match perfectly, another reason to LOVE the chair!

Did I mention she was only 6 days old?? What a little trooper, she did so well!

Thank you for allowing me to spend some time with you and your precious new addition to your family…….I can’t wait to watch her grow!

Sneak Peek ~ Baby Harlow {Schertz newborn photographer}

This new mom & dad might look familiar to you, you might remember the maternity images I posted of them a couple of months ago. Well, here they are with their 5 week old blessing from above, Harlow! I go to church with this sweet couple and it’s been fun watching them progress through the pregnancy and now adjusting into life as a threesome and they’re doing a fantastic job, what a precious family. Welcome to the world, Baby Harlow!

I’ve always wanted to do a shot like this and their beautiful bedroom was the perfect place to try it.

She slept for us for about 5 minutes before she woke up, thankfully I shoot fast!

Loved the tenderness of this shot and how he’s looking at Mama…….pure love.

Just wanted to take some time to post some of my personal faves from my recent Holiday Mini-Sessions, thankfully the red chair was a big hit! (Thanks again Remey Family!!) Don’t know when I’ll attempt to do 7 sessions in one weekend again anytime soon but it was fun & well worth it.
