Sneak Peek of Baby Luke {San Antonio family photographer}

The Simmons family have been great clients of mine for a couple of years now. This was our 4th session together and for this one I went to their beautiful home and shot some photos of their 7 month old son in the comfort of familiar surroundings. This is really the way to go when shooting infants! When he needed to nurse or be changed, we were right there where everything was handy & convenient which is really the way to go. We shot for about an hour till Daddy & the siblings returned home from the bookstore and it was time for me to be on my merry way which was more than enough time to grab some cute images of Baby Luke doing what he does best at 7 months……sit up, look cute, play & practice his pretend tummy swimming skills!

I spent a part of my lovely cool saturday morning taking family photos with the Wier family and I enjoyed my time with them SO much! They were a referral to me by my friend Shawna, it’s always such an honor when my friends trust their clients & friends with me. I always enjoy it when clients invite me to their homes for family photos because to me it makes the photographs even more meaningful & special when you see familar beloved backgrounds in the images. We spent the morning roaming around the home & property finding fun spots to take photos of sweet 6 month old baby Finn with his mommy & daddy. Thank GOODNESS for his grandparents & aunt who were also there to help me out in getting Finn’s attention & making him smile, they were troopers & such a blessing!! He was a happy baby all morning and such a little trooper for us…….enjoy your sneak peeks, Wier family!

I will MIA for a short while……I’m leaving on Thursday for a short trip to NYC. I’ve never been there before so I’m really excited to have my friend, Danielle, show me around so I can soak in all the sights & sounds of the Big Apple and take a bajillion photos!

I’ve been blessed with some of THE nicest clients ever. Really, I have. I really don’t think I’ve ever met a sweeter couple than Brian & Heather. She found me online and they came to my studio for their first maternity session and gratefully asked me to come to their home to photograph their precious newborn son, Mason, when he was less than 2 weeks old. They did a fantastic job and had him nice & “milk drunk” by the time arrived and the little guy slept the ENTIRE time which is a rarity & unexpected blessing for me! We moved him around, changed his clothes, shuffled him from person to person and the little fella didn’t mind one iota.

Congrats on your new precious bundle of joy, Brian & Heather, and thank you for allowing me to take Mason’s first portraits! Here are some of my favorites…..

It’s been such a pleasure watching this little one grow up along with her 2 big sisters. Noelle just turned 1 on monday so she & mommy met me at the studio for a few quick photos to document the momentous day so here are a few sneak peeks for them……..

Mama Holly has been waiting patiently so I wanted to post a few sneak peeks of her precious long-awaited bundle of joy, you might remember her maternity session. I went to their beautiful home for some photos of Baby Ethan at 11 days old because his great-grandfather who is 90 years young was visiting from New York and they were both as charming as can be! Little guy didn’t want to sleep but that’s ok, we made the best of it since he was very relaxed & patient with us as we changed his outfits & moved him around. What a little trooper! Congrats Holly & Brad, your little man is simply precious…..

Sneak Peek ~ Baby Lily {Schertz newborn photographer}

I’m lovin’ all of these maternity & newborn sessions I’ve been doing lately, allows me to get my baby fix when I need one! Baby Lily and her family were a referral from Tracy and I SO enjoyed our afternoon together in their beautiful home capturing some moments in time for them of their first born and thankfully Grandma, Grandpa & Uncle were in town as well. We began in Lily’s nursery that was SO flippin’ cute. Mama certainly has a knack for finding things, re-doing them and pulling it all together to create one gorgeous very-Anthropologie nursery and Grandma’s quilting & floral mural on the wall pulled it all together so well. When I walked into her room I knew this is where we would take her pics!

I fell in love with the green chair and kept wondering how I could sneak it out of Lily’s nursery without them noticing! haha

I found the little knitted cocoon & cap on Etsy and they just happened to match perfectly, another reason to LOVE the chair!

Did I mention she was only 6 days old?? What a little trooper, she did so well!

Thank you for allowing me to spend some time with you and your precious new addition to your family…….I can’t wait to watch her grow!

Welcome to my new blog! I’m sorry if you’ve been checking in at my other poor neglected blog over the past few months, I’m sure you might’ve given up on me a long while ago but now I hope that you’ll check in often to see what I’ve been up to. This blog will take the place of my personal that I’ve had for years & my older photography blog and my goal is to merge it all here where you will find sneak peeks of client sessions, updates on offers & specials I’m offering through my business, random photos that I wish to share and a few updates in general on what I’ve been up to. I’m excited to have everything here in one nice place where the images are much bigger & BETTER!! VERY excited! This has been a long time in the planning & making and you’ll probably see the blog go through various changes till I’m completely satisfied with it but for now this will do just fine as I’ve been itching to launch. I’d been wanting to begin this blog for months now but hit some snags with typical summertime family activities, our 20th wedding anniversary trip with the Furses to Napa Valley & San Francisco in late July and then the recent unexpected death of my father which slowed me down for a while. By the way, I publicly want to say that I SO appreciate all of the emails, phone calls, texts, cards and words of support……they certainly helped me get through when I was down in the valley looking out but I’m ready to heal and move forward with a new school year, cooler weather (HOPEFULLY! It HAS to happen soon, right?!) and a busy fall and holiday season w/Brown-Eyed Girl. The 2010 Senior season has already kicked off and I will be posting photos soon of a few of my Senior Reps (guys & gals in local high schools who help promote & spread the word about my business), I’m lucky to have found some great kids who will be awesome representatives of me and my business. Thanks Guys!

I wanted to launch my blog posting photos from one of my recent favorite sessions. I go to church with this precious couple and had such fun spending the morning photographing them. This is their first baby and you could just tell that they’re SO excited! Meredith had her make-up done by local professional make-up artist Robyn Chappell which only added to her effervescent glow that only pregnant women have.
